From our farm to your tableThe 10-5-10 method
Follow the order below: boil, rest in the hot water, then cool quickly in an ice bath.

Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil. Gently lower the eggs in with a spoon. When the water returns to a rolling boil, start a 10-minute timer.

Turn off the heat. Leave the pot on the burner or set it aside, and let the eggs sit undisturbed in the hot water for 5 minutes.

Drain the hot water and move the eggs right away to a large bowl of cold water and plenty of ice. Chill for 10 minutes to help the shells contract.

Ready when you are
After the ice bath, gently crack the shell and peel. Keep the method handy for weekday lunches, snacks, and recipes that call for hard-boiled eggs.
